No Greater Emotion Than Har Har Mahadev: Virat Karrna

The team of Nagabandham held a success meet to express gratitude to audiences after the film witnessed encouraging growth at the box office. With collections reportedly improving from Saturday onwards, the makers said the audience’s support has given them confidence and motivation.

Producers Kishore Annapureddy and Nishitha thanked moviegoers for making the film a success and revealed that the collections doubled from Saturday. Riding on the positive momentum, they also announced that the team would soon begin work on their next production.

“The film was conceived with the intention of presenting the values of Sanatana Dharma and introducing the younger generation to the sacrifices made by their ancestors. Nagabandham is an Indian mythological spectacle made with Hollywood-style visuals.”

Director Abhishek Nama said he welcomes criticism and believes audience opinion matters the most. Acknowledging the feedback received after release, he revealed that the team immediately trimmed portions of the film, including a song in the first half, and the extended climax fight. He emphasized that the film is inspired by historical events rather than fiction.

“This is not a fictional tale. Afghans came to India in 1747 and attacked Madurai. Adi Shankaracharya formed a group called Naga Sadhus to protect the temples. These are historical facts; many Hindus were killed brutally, and exoduses still occur. I hope the audience will support the film.”

Lead actor Virat Karrna expressed happiness over the audience response and said it was heartening to see viewers emotionally connect with the film. While clarifying that he respects reviewers, he appealed that the final verdict should be left to audiences instead of discouraging them from watching the film.

“Whenever Lord Anantha Padmanabha Swamy appears on screen, many viewers are removing their footwear out of reverence and watching with tears in their eyes. Some say the film lacks emotion, but when people are moved to tears at the sight of Anantha Padmanabha Swamy on screen, what greater emotion could there be? When theatres echo with chants of ‘Hara Hara Mahadev,’ what more emotional connection does a film need? Hats off to our director for creating such powerful emotions and grand visuals.

The film has been getting stronger from Day 2, and today’s bookings are also very encouraging. Across India, the film is receiving an excellent response. The interval and climax are generating tremendous applause. We are confident that the film will continue to post strong collections during the weekdays as well.”

Nabha Natesh also thanked the audience for the wonderful response.
