Will Thaman Make His Acting Comeback?

Idhayam Murali is a new-age Tamil romantic drama which is being dubbed as Hrudhayam Murali in Telugu and is set to hit the screens on July 10, 2026. Aakash Baskaran directs this film, which has Atharvaa, Kayadu Lohar and Preity Mukundan in lead roles. Yet another highlight of the film is star composer Thaman, who plays a key role in the movie.

The trailers have come out, and they show Thaman playing the role of the hero’s friend. He is a doctor, and his role is quite key to the film.

It has been quite a long time since Thaman acted in a film, and not many know that he started his career with Shankar’s Boys, where he played one of the band members. Thaman is not new to acting and looks decent in his role in Hrudhayam Murali.

In one of his interviews, Thaman also revealed that if he gets good roles, he will not shy away from doing them. Going by the trailer, Thaman’s role has enough screen presence, and if he performs well, he could make a successful acting comeback and take up more roles in the future despite his busy music career.

Hrudhayam Murali has a great team and is filled with popular names like Niharika NM and Kayadu Lohar. There is decent buzz surrounding the film, and since it is also releasing in Telugu, if it clicks, Thaman will surely find a new set of audiences who will encourage him as an actor
