Director Boyapati Sreenu has re-launched Jagapathi Babu as ferocious villain opposite Balakrishna in Legend. The film not just elevated Balayya’s heroism and explored his mass image, it also introduced a new villain to Tollywood in the form of Jagapathi Babu.
None other than Jagapathi Babu admitted that Legend gave him much-needed breather to his career at a time his acting career is almost hit the road-block.
Now, Boyapati doesn’t want to repeat Jagapathi for his next film with Balayya. As he wants to make it fresh, he is in search of a right and perfect villain opposite Balayya.
Since Boyapati knows that heavyweight-antagonist is needed to balance Balayya, he is in talks with some leading villains.
Boyapati is said to have approached the likes of Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt and even Sonu Sood for NBK 106. Apparently, due to dates or some technical reasons, the duo couldn’t take up the role opposite Balayya.
It is also rumoured that Boyapati had planned to re-launch Srikanth as villain – just like Jagapathi Babu – opposite Balayya. But somehow, even this didn’t turn fruitful.
Now, Boyapati is hunting for a perfect baddie opposite Balayya. Let’s hope his search yields good results. The film has Pragya Jaiswal romancing Balayya and Poorna in a small key role.
