Motherhood Changed Kajal’s Film Career?

Kajal Aggarwal is ready with her new film, The India Story, which is all set to hit the screens on July 24, 2026. Unlike the glamorous roles she has played throughout her career, Kajal is portraying a serious character in this film, which also features Shreyas Talpade.

Kajal has come a long way in her career, and when asked why she chose such a serious film despite having many offers in the South, the star heroine did not shy away from answering. She stated that motherhood has changed her and the way she looks at her career.

Kajal adds that The India Story is about the food we consume in our daily lives, and being a mother, she is very careful about what her son and family eat on a daily basis. So naturally, when such a film came her way, she did not think twice before accepting it.

Kajal also says that she cannot do eight or nine films a year and is happy doing three or four films annually. She is also keen on doing character-driven roles and plays one in Balakrishna’s new film, which is being directed by Gopichand Malineni.

After a long gap, she is getting back to doing big films and is very clear that regular commercial mass masala flicks are no longer a priority for her. It remains to be seen what kind of roles she chooses in the days to come.
