The government of Andhra Pradesh has been streamlining the cinematic ticketing process for a while now. It has become a hectic job for the government to individually assess the ticket price hike requests of each films and then approve the same.
Now it has been confirmed that the government of Andhra Pradesh is seriously considering the area of introducing a new GO that would permit flexible ticket prices without the need to approach the government of AP.
A similar procedure is currently in effect in Telangana, where film producer can hike the ticket prices up to ₹295 without any prior permission from the government. It appears that the Andhra Pradesh government is also contemplating this flexible GO shortly.
In fact, the AP government is considering a far more flexible approach as it is being established, the ticket prices can be arranged anywhere between ₹100 to ₹1000. This proposal has been in front of the government for a while now, and it could be finally coming to effect shortly.
This news was confirmed by Andhra Pradesh cinematography minister Kandula Durgesh at Lenin Success meet and it could be a matter of time before it comes to effect. Once this is officially approved, film, producers and distributor price, their film tickets as they wish within the mention bracket of without having to approach the government.
