Director SS Rajamouli surprised everyone by revealing two unseen posters with contrasting emotions from his upcoming film Varanasi on the eve of Priyanka Chopra’s birthday today morning. She appears as a highly spirited lady in the first poster and as a malevolent woman with some evil intention in the second look.

Now, the anticipation for a similar treat on Mahesh Babu’s birthday which falls on August 9 has turned bigger after today’s surprise. Fans of Mahesh have been waiting with a bated breath to witness at least a small glimpse on the big day as they wish to make it a memorable one this time, especially after suffering huge disappointment last year with no updates from Rajamouli and team Varanasi.

As Varanasi is undoubtedly the biggest event film in Mahesh Babu’s career which is surefire going to put him on the pan-India vehicle, there are mammoth expectations on Rajamouli to turn this year’s birthday into a big celebration. Moreover, they are very eager because the next birthday is mostly going to be a dull affair as Varanasi hit the screen in April and Mahesh is unlikely to kick off a new film before August next year.

As of now, Varanasi team is maintaining utmost silence about the much hyped birthday treat. It is unclear if Rajamouli is planning any surprises by working on the teaser or a new poster. A well-timed teaser like glimpse on August 9 could instantly set the internet ablaze and create more buzz on the film.

Rajamouli has the habit of giving treat on birthdays of his actors. He previously did it for Ram Charan by unveiling a glimpse on birthday before the release of RRR. He wanted to repeat it for NTR’s birthday, but due to COVID pandemic, the treat was postponed.

Though the first glimpse of Varanasi was already released last November in a massive event, moviegoers are desperately waiting for Rajamouli to break the silence and kick start promotions with Mahesh Babu’s birthday as the release is just ten months away.
