Ramayana is one of the most-awaited Indian films, and naturally, expectations are sky-high for this Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Sunny Deol, and Yash starrer. However, the film’s promotional campaign has become a talking point all over.
The makers recently screened the trailer for members of the media nearly a week before its public release. This strategy appears to have backfired big time, as several low-quality clips and screenshots from the trailer have gone viral on social media.
Many feel that such early screenings are risky in today’s digital age. With smartphones everywhere and keeping in mind the AI era, which can create misconceptions, keeping a trailer under wraps for several days is impossible and is a costly mistake by the makers.
Several posts are being made as to why the team did not simply hold a grand public event and release the trailer officially on the same day. The biggest concern is that these leaked clips are now creating a negative buzz as the footage is blurry and incomplete.
The official trailer is still expected to generate huge excitement, but for a project mounted on a massive budget, the leak has raised questions about whether the Ramayana team has faltered big time in creating the first and best impression.
