Clash Of Age Defying Love Stories

Love stories always give a resounding success to established actors. While many stay away from such genres, claiming that they would give a limited reach, many careers have been made in the romance genre.

Next month, we are set to witness two love stories in the South, which will clash on the same day. Social media is already buzzing with the claim that the two films are age-defying films. One of them is Viswanath and Sons, while the other one is Hi.

Viswanath and Sons is headlined by Suriya with Mamitha Baiju playing the leading lady. The promotional material already revealed that Mamitha tries to woo Suriya, and there is a big age difference between the two characters.

On the other side, Hi is headlined by Lady Superstar Nayanthara and also features Kevin as the male lead. The two actors also have an age difference. In the early days, filmmakers like K Balachander used to depict romantic relationships between adults of different ages, and new-age filmmakers are giving their own touch to the same.

The chemistry of Suriya-Mamitha and Nayan-Kevin is alluring, and going by the posters, the two pairs will thrill the audiences in these films. Venky Atluri is the director of Viswanath and Sons while Hi is directed by debutant Vishnu Edavan. Interestingly, in Suriya’s film, male protagonist is elder than the female protagonist. And in Hi, Nayan is elder than Kevin.

Both the films will hit the screens on Augsut 14th. We have to see how these films fare at the box office.
