Hollywood actress Kaylee Hottle, known for her breakout roles as Jia in Godzilla vs. Kong and Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire, has tragically died. Kaylee was killed in a tragic car accident in Maryland. Kaylee’s father, Joshua, officially confirmed the actress’s demise Tuesday morning.
Kaylee Hottle was 18, a senior at the Texas School for the Deaf, and part of a multigenerational deaf family. She famously portrayed Jia, a deaf character who communicated with Kong through sign language. That particular performance earned her global recognition.
“It is with profound sadness that we share the heartbreaking news that one of our TSD seniors, Kaylee Hottle, tragically passed away yesterday in a car accident in Frederick, Maryland,” the Texas School for the deaf in Austin wrote.
Kaylee displayed a career-defining performance as Jia, which will be remembered by everyone. The untimely demise of Kaylee pushed everyone into a state of grief. May her soul rest in peace.
