The Telugu box office has been enjoying a healthy run over the last few weeks, and all eyes are now on Kiran Abbavaram’s Chennai Love Story, which is set to hit the screens on July 24. The big question is whether the romantic drama can continue the positive momentum in theatres.
Things started with the release of Ram Charan’s Peddi, which brought audiences back to cinemas in good numbers, though it was released late summer. The success streak continued with films like Maa Inti Bangaaram and Lenin, both of which attracted crowds and generated good collections.
With audiences once again showing interest in theatrical viewing, the industry is hoping that Chennai Love Story keeps things alive. The film comes with decent expectations, thanks to the involvement of producers Sai Rajesh and SKN, whose previous outing Baby turned out to be a sensational blockbuster.
Adding to the buzz is Kiran Abbavaram, who is currently enjoying a good phase in his career. If the target audience connects with the emotions, Chennai Love Story has every chance of emerging as another success story at the box office.
