Everything seems to be falling into place for Mega Prince Varun Tej’s Korean Kanakaraju ahead of its theatrical release. The horror-comedy entertainer is witnessing excellent traction, with its growing popularity reflecting in its business prospects as well.
The film has started its pre-release business on bang. It has recovered 26 crore through non-theatrical rights alone, covering a substantial part of its overall 38 crore production cost even before ticket sales begin. This gives the project a significant advantage as it heads towards release.
One of the biggest strengths of the film has been its promotional material. The teaser struck the right chord by showcasing a fun-filled entertainer packed with humour and supernatural elements. The songs further amplified the excitement, helping the film build consistent buzz.
The encouraging response has also boosted confidence among distributors, who are said to be offering premium prices for the theatrical rights.
Directed by Merlapaka Gandhi and produced by UV Creations, in association with First Frame Entertainment, the film is slated for release on August 7th.
