M. S. Raju’s upcoming supernatural drama ‘Agadha’ is gaining significant attention ahead of its worldwide theatrical release on August 14.
The film received a positive response to its trailer, leading to interest from distributors across several territories. However, director M. S. Raju has chosen to release the film independently through Geetha Arts and Annapurna Studios, reflecting his confidence in its theatrical prospects.
The release strategy has now been finalized across major markets, paving the way for a wide Independence Day weekend rollout.
In the United States, Moksha Movies is distributing ‘Agadha’ . The distributor initially planned to release the film on 14 screens but reportedly increased the count to 140 screens after watching the movie. The expansion has further strengthened expectations surrounding the film’s theatrical performance.
In the Telugu states, ‘Agadha’ will be released through the exhibition networks of Geetha Arts and Annapurna Studios. V.K. Films, the distribution company associated with Hombale Films, will handle the Karnataka release, while a reputed distribution house, ‘S’ Pictures, will oversee the film’s release in Tamil Nadu.
The trailer presents ‘Agadha’ as a visually rich supernatural drama set against a divine and mystical backdrop. Its reverse-chronological storytelling, extensive CGI work and eerie background score have sparked considerable curiosity among moviegoers.
Starring ‘Polimera’ fame Kamakshi Bhaskarla and ‘Dirty Hari’ actor Shravan Reddy in the lead roles, the film has been written and directed by M. S. Raju. It is produced by Kasi Visalakshi Balusu under the Sri Adi Varaha Productions banner and presented by Ajay KR.
With distribution arrangements finalized in key territories and promotions entering their final phase, ‘Agadha’ is gearing up for a grand worldwide theatrical release on August 14.
