Even Mohanlal Couldn’t Escape Unexpected Visa Delay

Malayalam Superstar Mohanlal’s Australian Visa has been delayed. Due to this, he couldn’t attend the live show in Sydney and thus the event has been postponed.

Mohanlal and artists KS Chithra, Aju Varghese, and Kalabhavan Shajohn were scheduled to attend an event titled ‘Vaikittu Entha Paripadi’ (What is the plan for the evening?) today, Aug 8, at the Norwest Convention Centre in Australia. However, due to an unexpected delay in the visa process, Mohanlal could not travel to Australia. As a result, the organisers postponed the show.

Mohanlal is currently in Singapore waiting for his visa. He posted a video on social media and apologised to his Australian fans. Mohanlal said he was very disappointed that the event, which fans had been eagerly waiting for, could not take place as planned.

“I don’t know how this happened. It could be due to a technical issue. But I take full responsibility for it. I apologise to all my fans. Several members of my team have already reached Sydney. I could not travel because I did not get my visa,” Mohanlal said in the video.

The organisers of the show, said the event was postponed due to the unexpected delay in Mohanlal’s visa process.

“The other artists and crew members who were scheduled to be part of the show have already reached Sydney. We cannot conduct the event without Mohanlal. So, we have decided to postpone it. We will announce the new date soon,” the organisers said.

These days, visa processes have become increasingly complicated even for ordinary travellers. However, seeing a superstar of Mohanlal’s stature also face an unexpected visa delay is certainly surprising, highlighting how such procedural hurdles can affect anyone.
