Wamiqa Gabbi joins Rishab Shetty in Jai Hanuman?

2026 is proving to be an exciting year for Wamiqa Gabbi. She started the year with the successful film Bhooth Bangla, starring Akshay Kumar. She then appeared in Pati, Patni Aur Woh Do, which was also a decent hit.

Now, she is receiving praise for her performance as Chandra in the recently released Tamil film DC. Things have gone to the next level as Wamiqa has now reportedly been signed to play an important role in Jai Hanuman, the upcoming pan-India mythological film directed by Prasanth Varma.

The film stars Rishab Shetty, who will play Lord Hanuman. Details about Wamiqa’s character are being kept secret. Jai Hanuman is the sequel to the 2024 hit Hanu-Man, which starred Teja Sajja. The new film will have a few new cast members, and Wamiqa is one of them.

Being produced by Mythri Movie Makers, Jai Hanuman is part of Prasanth Varma’s Cinematic Universe. Shooting for Jai Hanuman began in March, with a theatrical release planned for the second half of 2027.

Meanwhile, Wamiqa has several projects like Prahaar with Rajkummar Rao, Goodachari 2 with Adivi Sesh, Dil Ka Darwaza Khol Na Darling, Genie, and Kuku Ki Kundali in the pipeline, and Jai Hanuman’s craze will only take her to new heights.
