The teaser of Ramayana has sparked a lot of discussion on social media. While many were impressed with the scale and visuals, some questioned the CGI and VFX quality shown in the promotional material.
For the first time, Ranbir Kapoor defended the film’s visual effects and stated that judging the VFX based on a short teaser is not fair. He and Namit also added that the real impact of the visuals can only be experienced when the film is watched on the big screen, especially in IMAX format.
Ranbir pointed out that Ramayana has been designed as a grand cinematic experience and the film’s visuals were created for large-format screens and not for mobile phones or social media clips.
His statements have now increased curiosity around the film. He has also slammed those who trolled the VFX as CG critics. When the lead actor shows such confidence in the final output, it naturally raises expectations for the epic.
If the VFX truly delivers on the big screen, Ramayana could emerge as a massive box-office success. Also featuring Yash, Sai Pallavi, Rakul Preet Singh, Kajal Aggarwal, and Sunny Deol in key roles, Ramayana has been directed by Nitesh Tiwari. For now, the debate over the CGI continues.
