The Sankranthi 2027 season is set to witness an interesting Mega family clash at the box office. Megastar Chiranjeevi and his nephew Sai Durgha Tej are likely to face each other during the festive season.
Sai Durgha Tej’s upcoming film Sambarala Yeti Gattu (SYG) was officially announced for Sankranthi a few days ago. After several delays, the film has finally locked January 12, 2027 as its release date.
Now, reports suggest that Chiranjeevi’s upcoming film, directed by Bobby, is also eyeing a Sankranthi 2027 release. The official release date is expected to be announced on Chiranjeevi’s birthday on August 22.
Chiranjeevi, who is set to turn 71 on August 22, is reportedly planning to make the Sankranthi season special with his upcoming film.
If both films release during the same festival season, it will be a rare “Mega Mama vs Mena Alludu” clash. Such a direct box-office clash between two leading Mega family heroes has been uncommon so far.
The clash is expected to bring huge attention at the box office, as both films have targeting the Sankranthi audience.
It remains to be seen whether Chiranjeevi and Sai Durgha Tej will finally arrive together for Sankranthi 2027 and how Sambarala Yeti Gattu performs against Chiranjeevi’s big-ticket film.
