Unexpected: Ram To Play Key Role In Rajini’s Dharman

Ram Pothineni is all set to take a completely different route with the upcoming Tamil film Dharman, which stars superstar Rajinikanth in the lead role. The film is being directed by Ashwath Marimuthu, and the latest buzz suggests that Ram will be seen in an important role.

Interestingly, the makers approached Dhruv Vikram first for the role. However, Dhruv turned down the offer, following which the team approached Ram Pothineni. If the reports are true, this will be a major change for Ram, who has mostly been seen as a mainstream Telugu hero.

Dharman’s story revolves around a ‘Mama-Alludu’ rivalry, with Rajinikanth and Ram sharing an intense relationship as per the news. The combination is expected to be one of the major attractions, and Ram’s presence will give a lot of depth to the film. 

What makes Ram’s decision even more interesting is that he is simultaneously directing his own film, which is also said to be a crime thriller. So, one needs to see how he will space out both the films. 

Rashi Khanna is also part of the project and reportedly plays Rajinikanth’s daughter. Choosing an important role opposite Rajinikanth while exploring direction shows that Ram is in a clear space for experimentation.
