King Joins December Party with Prabhas and Balayya!

Nagarjuna Akkineni is currently in a happy space. With Akhil Akkineni’s Lenin and Naga Chaitanya’s Thandel turning out to be box-office winners, the Akkineni family is in a festive mood. Now, all eyes are on Nagarjuna’s most-awaited film, King 100.

Directed by Ra Karthik, the yet-to-be titled film features Nagarjuna in the lead role and Tabu, Sushmitha Bhat and Aishwarya Rajesh playing prominent roles. The film was initially expected to release during Sankranthi 2027. However, according to close industry sources, King 100may now target a December 2026 release. As per the inside sources, Nagarjuna will join the December box-office race along with Prabhas and Nandamuri Balakrishna.

Prabhas and Hanu Raghavapudi’s Fauzi and Balakrishna and Gopichand Malineni’s NBK 111 are already in the December race. A major portion of Fauzi has been completed, and the makers are reportedly planning a release in the first week of December (Dec 3).

Meanwhile, Balakrishna is expected to resume shooting for NBK 111 in October after recovering from an injury he suffered on the sets. NBK 111 is also targeting a December release (Dec 24).

Already, Sankranthi 2027 is over-crowded with Chiranjeevi’s Kaaka, Anil Ravipudi’s film with Venkatesh and Kalyan Ram, Ravi Teja’s film with Vishnu and Hasit Goli, the Sreenu Vaitla-Sharwanand project, Sai Durgha Tej’s Sambarala Yeti Gattu and Prashanth Varma’s Maha Kali.

With the Sankranthi lineup already packed, December could provide King 100 with a better release window. Nagarjuna’s birthday on August 29 could bring more clarity. The makers are reportedly planning a special glimpse or announcement on the occasion, and an update about the film’s release date is also expected.

If King 100 indeed arrives in December, the month could turn into another major box-office festival, with three big stars, Prabhas, Balakrishna and Nagarjuna, competing for audiences before the big Sankranthi season. For now, fans are waiting for the official announcement on Nagarjuna’s birthday.
