Drishyam Franchise Takes Different Paths Across Languages

The Drishyam franchise is one of the most successful thriller series in Indian cinema. However, the franchise is now heading in different directions across languages. Recently, the makers of the Malayalam original confirmed Drishyam 4.

Mohanlal is expected to return as Georgekutty once again, continuing the gripping story that has kept audiences hooked for years. The announcement has created huge excitement among fans who are eager to know what happens next while some opined that they are unnecessary dragging it.

On the other hand, the Hindi version is taking a different route. The makers have announced that Drishyam 3, starring Ajay Devgn, will be the final chapter of the Hindi franchise. The film is scheduled to release on October 2, a date that has become closely associated with the Drishyam series.

The Telugu version appears to be in an uncertain position, with Venkatesh showing little interest in continuing the franchise. As a result, the future of the Telugu adaptation remains unclear for now, and if not made, it will disappoint fans big time.

With the Hindi version ending at Part 3 and the Telugu version yet to make progress, the Malayalam franchise could be the only one to continue beyond the third installment. If everything goes as planned, Drishyam 4 may remain exclusive to Malayalam audiences, making it the only version to carry Georgekutty’s story forward.
