Romanchakam Director Is Technically Not a New Comer!

In the film industry, there is a myth that if you get yourself comfortable as a co-director or assistant director for years, you may never get a chance to debut as a director. It has proved true for many, but it has also proved false in a few cases. Now, Venu Gopal Reddy is an exception, debuting with Romanchakam, bankrolled by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and hitting screens tomorrow. He is not technically a newcomer to direction, but he has been in the industry for a long time.

Venu Gopal Reddy worked as an assistant director with the likes of Ram Gopal Varma. He worked as a second unit director for Sharwanand-RGV’s Satya 2 and as an associate director for RGV’s experimental film Dongala Mutha. Venu also served as an assistant on the Raktha Charitra film franchise. He also contributed to the writing of Dongala Mutha and the screenplay of Edaina Jaragachu.

After decades of experience assisting big filmmakers, Venu is finally realizing his dream of making his directorial debut. Surprisingly, he picked young actors like Sumanth Prabhas and Ananthika for his first film with an interesting and catchy title, Romanchakam. Producers Sandeep Vanga and Pranay Vanga are praising the film’s story and director Venu’s ability to execute it.

The film has already caught many people’s attention because it was produced by notable personalities. However, the trailer showcased the director’s mark and created curiosity to watch the film. If Venu scores a success, it could be a motivation for so many talented people working as assistants and associates for the long time in the industry.
