One of the most talked-about political incidents of 2026 is now set to enthrall us in the form of a documentary. Netflix has announced Instadocs: The Decoy Plane, a documentary that showcases the secret aircraft switch of US President Donald Trump during his visit to Turkey in July.
The documentary is set to premiere on September 4. Going into details, Trump was returning from a NATO summit in Turkey when security agencies received information about a possible threat. To ensure his safety, the Secret Service shifted him from Air Force One to a catering truck, and then to another plane.
Netflix’s documentary will feature interviews with journalists along with former Secret Service personnel and Air Force One crew members. The film will showcase how this deadly operation was executed with utmost secrecy.
The unusual operation remained unknown until media reports revealed the details weeks later. This new documentary will offer a behind-the-scenes look at one of the most unusual security operations in US history and one cannot wait to see how all this was planned.
