Ramayana is one of the most expensive Indian films and the first part is expected to arrive in just two months on Diwali. But the lack of major promotional activity from the team is surprising at this stage.
The film stars Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi in the lead roles. Nitesh Tiwari is directing this visual spectacle, while Namit Malhotra is producing the two part film on a massive budget.
As per reports from Mumbai media circles, the team is currently under some pressure regarding the business deals. This is said to be one of the reasons why the promotions have not started on a big scale yet.
There was also a plan to wait until the result of Yash’s Toxic before starting the major promotional campaign. The team reportedly wanted to see how the film performs before moving ahead with its plans.
However, Toxic did not get the expected response and its result has now become a concern for the Ramayana team. Yash is also playing the role of Ravana, making his presence very important to the film’s overall promotion.
The team has been banking heavily on both Ranbir Kapoor and Yash to create huge buzz. While Ranbir brings his own audience, Yash was expected to add another major attraction, especially in the Hindi and South markets.
Whatever the reason may be, Ramayana needs to enter the promotional race soon. With only around two months left, the team needs a proper plan to keep the film in the news and create strong excitement among the audience.
