A Popular Production House is doing a Web Series for Netflix with a young hero and a successful director. But then, there are rumors rife in Filmnagar about this project.
Apparently, it is not the project of this director, and he is just a namesake. A Tamil director came up with this idea and went to Ravi Teja to do a film.
Ravi Teja liked the film but doubted if the director could handle it. He let go of it. And then, the production house materialized the web series with Netflix.
The Major OTT wanted a big name as the director to offer the price they were expecting.
So, they brought this successful director onboard. He had a big success on Netflix and will attract big bucks. He will just give his name and take home 6.5 Crores for it.
At best, he may give some inputs but the Tamil director will only shoot the film. It is anyway difficult to quantify success on OTT and so, the director’s brand will be safe.
If these rumors are true, it is a smart play by the producer.
