Natural Star Nani’s action spectacle and emotional drama The Paradise is gearing up for its grand release on the 24th of this month. The film has already created strong anticipation, with its promotional material generating considerable buzz among audiences.
In a conversation with director Srikanth Odela, actor Raghav Juyal, who is making his Tollywood debut with The Paradise, offered an interesting insight into the creative environment behind the ambitious project. While the teaser and other promotional material have showcased an intense, action-packed world, Raghav believes that the film’s emotional dimension is equally significant.
Raghav particularly praised Srikanth Odela’s ability to stay connected with the audience throughout the filmmaking process. According to him, the director does not consider audience feedback something that comes only after a film is completed. Instead, he actively listens to viewers and incorporates their observations whenever necessary.
Raghav said this approach proved to be a valuable learning experience for him. He revealed that working alongside Srikanth Odela and Nani taught him the importance of staying connected with audiences, making choices that genuinely feel right, and understanding what viewers expect from a film.
Srikanth Odela, meanwhile, acknowledged Raghav’s contribution to The Paradise. He revealed that before casting the actor, he had initially imagined the character as someone relatively calm and settled. However, after meeting Raghav, the filmmaker decided to rewrite the character to accommodate the actor’s energetic screen presence.
The director describes The Paradise as a “proper revolutionary film,” with emotions forming its core.
“Telugu cinema hasn’t witnessed a revolutionary film. After a long time, The Paradise is going to be a proper revolutionary film in Telugu cinema.”
The filmmaker also revealed that his experience working on Dasara made him more conscious of the finer aspects of filmmaking this time around.
“Having closely observed the challenges involved in filmmaking, I was particular about even the smallest details this time, with the ultimate aim of delivering a satisfying theatrical experience.”
He further revealed how the scale of The Paradise expanded considerably during the writing process.
“The growing scale of The Paradise has surprised me. What began as an idea to make a film gradually expanded into a much larger project during the writing process.”
Adding to the excitement, Srikanth Odela believes the film will offer an especially immersive experience when watched in the 4DX format. With its action, emotions and larger-than-life world, The Paradise is expected to deliver a kickass theatrical experience on the big screen.
