Sigma Is About Someone Fighting For His Identity: Sanjay

 
Tamil Nadu CM Vijay’s son Jason Sanjay is making his directorial debut with Sigma, starring Sundeep Kishan as the lead. The bilingual film is scheduled for release on October 2nd with Mythri Movie Distributors releasing it in Coastal Andhra and Nizam and NVR Cinema in Ceded.
 
Sanjay has deliberately kept the plot under wraps, preferring to let audiences discover the film in theatres. “This is my first film, and I don’t want to reveal too many details about it right now. It has interesting elements such as a heist, adventure and a treasure hunt. Despite all that, it is a very relatable and commercial film. The film Sigma is about someone fighting for his own identity.”
 
After completing the script, Sanjay wanted to ensure that the story would connect with audiences beyond one language. “When I finished writing the script, one thing I wanted to make sure of was that it should relate to audiences across all languages. I consciously wanted to make it as a bilingual.”
 
While he is currently focused on Sigma, Sanjay revealed that acting could be something he considers in the future. “I felt very happy when my father became a CM. Right now, I am waiting for the release of Sigma. After the release, I may consider acting.”
 
Sundeep Kishan believes the film represents a major milestone for Sanjay and takes pride in being part of his directorial debut. “Sigma is 200% Sanjay’s film. He gave me a bound script and made exactly that film. He never took advantage of the advantages he had. He worked extremely hard and completed the movie within the time frame and within the budget.”
 
Sundeep further said that Telugu cinema has always remained his primary market despite his work in Tamil. “Telugu is always my prime market. I am happy with all the love from Tamil audiences. Sanjay will become an important person in the industry, and I am happy that his first movie is with me.”
 
Calling Sanjay’s vision a refreshing one, Sundeep added, “He made a Gen Z, jolly film. He never felt the pressure and made a good and beautiful film.”
