There’s A Strong Emotion Behind Cuss Word In The Paradise: Nani

Natural Star Nani has revealed that beneath the intense action and larger-than-life world of The Paradise lies a deeply emotional mother-son relationship. Addressing the media at the Bengaluru press meet, the actor explained how the film combines raw action, spectacle and emotion while introducing audiences to a world they have never seen before.

“If I have to describe The Paradise in one line, it is a mother-and-son story. However, this mother and son are not placed in a situation that we have seen before. They are in a world, a place, a conflict and a situation that we have never seen a mother and son go through before. I think that is what makes their equation very special.”

Nani believes the action in The Paradise is driven by a strong emotional foundation. According to the actor, the film’s high-octane sequences are designed to create an emotional connection with the characters rather than function merely as spectacle. The Paradise revolves around a tribe and its struggle for identity. “The Paradise is a revolutionary film about a tribe called Sawari who fight for their identity.”

The actor was equally appreciative of director Srikanth Odela’s vision and filmmaking approach. He said the director has a clear focus on creating memorable theatrical moments while putting his actors in demanding situations. “Srikanth Odela is the kind of director who wants to give theatrical highs in his movies. He likes to put his actors in challenging situations.”

The cuss word used in the first glimpse invited a lot of criticism. Responding to that, Nani stated, “There is a strong emotion behind the cuss word in the film. It comes at a very crucial situation in the story. The audience won’t feel odd when they discover the reason behind it.”

Nani has also undergone considerable physical preparation for the role. However, instead of aiming for a conventional six-pack physique, he focused on achieving the bulkier appearance demanded by his character. “I have really worked out for the movie, but I did not build six-pack abs because the character required me to look bulkier.”

Describing the film as “extremely intense, raw, violent, emotional and adrenaline-pumping,” Nani is confident that The Paradise will offer a first-of-its-kind experience in theatres.
