Icon star Allu Arjun’s Raaka registered a phenomenal achievement by securing a place in the Guinness Book of World Records. The team proudly announced it today on social media, offering behind-the-scenes glimpses into the world of Raaka. “The most people motion-captured in real-time is 37 and was achieved by Sun TV Network and Atlee for the movie Raaka, starring Allu Arjun, in Mumbai,” the team revealed, confirming the record. This was performed on the 15th of this month.
With the title Global Triumph, the 4-minute video released by the team showcases glimpses of the making of Raaka, featuring talent from across the world. The groundbreaking technical feat tracked 37 performers simultaneously with remarkable precision. Actor Allu Arjun and visionary filmmaker Atlee proudly accepted the prestigious certificate, and Atlee promised to push the boundaries of global visual effects and make everyone proud with the film.
The video also features versatile, talented technicians from Hollywood sharing their experiences creating the film. Billed to be a sci-fi film, Allu Arjun says, “A lot of people can have ideas and vision, but getting them executed with the finest quality is something.”
Sai Abhyankar puts it plainly: the film blends global and Indian roots to feel international. Well-known VFX supervisor James Madigan, known for work on films like ‘Iron Man 2’ and ‘Transformers: Rise of the Beasts’, is part of the film. The film’s team also includes Mike Elizalde, president of Spectral Motion and an Academy Award winner, and Fractured FX artistic director and CEO Justin Raleigh. Aaron Toney, the stunt coordinator for Avengers, Black Panther, Interstellar, and many other films, is also supervising the stunts for the film along with Anal Arasu. On the occasion of Atlee’s birthday today, the team unveiled this surprise to the audience.
While Raaka was expected to be huge right from the announcement, not many would have expected this level of madness. The Guinness achievement and the scale showcased in the video have now given audiences a glimpse of how massive the film is shaping up to be.
