People Are Calling AP ‘South Bihar’ Thanks To Babu: Jagan

Former CM, YS Jagan criticised the ruling TDP following the YSRCP’s defeat in the municipal polls. Addressing the media, he alleged that the elections were unfair and accused the TDP of misusing the police. He also criticised CM Chandrababu Naidu, saying AP was once respected but is now being referred to as ‘South Bihar’.

Addressing a press conference, Jagan alleged that the TDP had hijacked the elections at every stage, from filing nominations to polling and counting. “Are these elections or selections?” Jagan questioned, alleging large-scale irregularities in the municipal polls.

Taking a direct dig at CM Chandrababu Naidu, Jagan said AP is being called ‘South Bihar’ because of the TDP government’s actions. “Chandrababu Garu, Andhra Pradesh used to have a certain respect earlier. Now, because of you, people are calling our state South Bihar,” Jagan said.

Jagan further alleged that the ruling party had resorted to rigging during nominations, scrutiny, polling and even at polling booths. He claimed that YSRCP candidates who managed to win in some places were also targeted through irregularities.

Jagan accused Chandrababu of hijacking the entire election process, claiming that the Chief Minister feared losing his political ground if elections were conducted fairly.

Concluding his attack, the YSRCP chief made an emotional appeal, saying, “Hey Ram, Save Andhra! Hey Ram, Save Democracy!”
