Ramayana BTS: Ranbir’s Epic Transformation!

The most-awaited epic Ramayana starring Ranbir Kapoor will arrive in cinemas with the first part slated for Diwali 2026 release and the second part during Diwali 2027. The makers, on the occasion of Ranbir Kapoor’s birthday have come up with a BTS glimpse, showcasing his journey and preparation for the role of Lord Rama, and the hard work underwent in making the film.
 
Director Nitesh Tiwari speaks about the significance of finding the right actor to portray Lord Rama. With generations emotionally connected to the Ramayana, the casting carries a unique weight. Ranbir echoes that sentiment, revealing that he has approached the part with the intention of doing justice to the character rather than simply performing a role.
 
The glimpse expands beyond Ranbir and gives other members of the cast an opportunity to talk about his portrayal. Arun Govil, who plays Dashrath, Sai Pallavi, who essays Sita, and Ravi Dubey, who portrays Lakshman, discuss the qualities they see in Ranbir that complement the role.
 
The video also opens the doors to the enormous preparation involved in mounting the film. It gives glimpses of the actors’ transformations, behind-the-scenes work and the creation of major sequences, reflecting the amount of effort being invested in bringing the epic to life.
 
A significant part of that ambition comes from the global creative collaboration assembled by producer Namit Malhotra. The project combines Indian storytelling and cultural sensibilities with expertise from international filmmaking professionals. Among them is celebrated action director Terry Notary, who has worked closely with Ranbir to prepare him for the film’s intricate action sequences.
 
Following the strong response to its recently released trailer, the film continues to attract attention for its visual grandeur, ambitious storytelling and powerful casting.
