Several posts circulating online feature a black-and-white photograph of Jackie Chan along with the words ‘Jackie Chan 1954-2026’. The posts have spread rapidly across social media, attracting millions of views. One such post by a user named Abdul reportedly received more than 3.8 million views in just five hours, highlighting how quickly the false claim travelled online.

Jackie Chan’s last reported public appearance was on July 7, 2026, in Singapore. The actor made a surprise visit to a public school, where he interacted with students and staff. He also surprised those present by singing his song ‘Hard to Say Goodbye.’ His last public appearance seems to have triggered the death rumours as there is a significant time gap of nearly 3 months till the present.

Jackie Chan remains one of the world’s most popular martial arts stars, with a massive international fan base. His global popularity appears to have helped the false death reports spread rapidly across different countries. But the good thing is that these reports proved to be baseless rumours.
