One of India’s most talked-about celebrity chat shows is coming to an end. Karan Johar has officially announced that Koffee With Karan, the legendary and controversial talk show, will conclude with its upcoming ninth season.
The show began in 2004, and now its final season is set to stream on JioHotstar from October 14. In an emotional message, Karan Johar said the decision to end the show was personal and recalled how he discussed hosting the show with his late father, Yash Johar.
Over the last 22 years, the show was known for its candid conversations, rapid-fire rounds, coffee hampers, and headline-making controversies from the stars. Since its launch, Koffee With Karan has completed eight seasons and 161 episodes.
The show was quite controversial, and Karan Johar was always trolled for promoting nepotism and inviting only A-listers and close friends on the show. This year, the likes of Rashmika, Vijay Deverakonda, and Allu Arjun are expected to grace the show.
With one final season left, fans are preparing to say goodbye to a show that entertained millions across the globe. One needs to see if the last season ends up controversial or becomes an emotional goodbye.
