Nani’s The Paradise has completed its first week at the box office and has grossed a little over ₹150 crore worldwide. While the film opened to record numbers and became the biggest opener of Nani’s career, its collections have slowed down in several areas, especially in Andhra Pradesh after first weekend.
At the moment, Nizam remains the strongest territory for the film. The region continues to post decent numbers and has broken even the other day with GST. However, many areas in Andhra Pradesh are struggling to reach their break-even targets.
Nani is continuing his promotional efforts and is touring Andhra Pradesh today to encourage more audiences to watch the film on the big screen. The actor’s commitment to supporting the film after release has been appreciated by fans and trade circles alike.
The good news for the makers is that The Paradise has a long weekend ahead. With Gandhi Jayanti falling on Friday, the film gets an extra holiday advantage. Even though new releases like Simga and Don’t Trouble The Trouble will arrive in theatres, the holiday period could help The Paradise get some extra time to make more money.
The next few days will be very important for The Paradise. A strong weekend can improve its box-office position and help the film move closer to break-even in several Andhra Pradesh territories. Let’s see what happens.
