Nagarjuna’s Geethanjali, directed by Mani Ratnam, remains to be one of the iconic romantic entertainers.
The film is now heading back to theatres worldwide in a digitally enhanced 4K version on November 13 in Telugu and Tamil. It was earlier planned for release on September 28th.
Originally celebrated for its fresh storytelling, tender emotions and unforgettable music, Geethanjali went on to become one of the most cherished films in Nagarjuna’s career.
The actor’s charming screen presence and emotionally engaging performance, coupled with Girija’s portrayal, gave the romance a lasting appeal.
Mani Ratnam’s distinctive filmmaking style gave even the simplest moments a classic quality, while Ilaiyaraaja’s memorable musical score became an inseparable part of the film’s identity.
Now, audiences will get to revisit those iconic moments on the big screen with the advantage of 4K technology.
Boorle Shiva Prasad’s Shree Padmini Cinemas is bringing Geethanjali back to theatres worldwide.
