Husharu Gang Returns With Double The Madness

The makers of ‘Husharu 2’ have unveiled the title of the sequel to the 2018 youth entertainer ‘Husharu’, along with a striking announcement poster that immediately stands out for its unusual imagery. Rather than simply introducing the sequel, the poster offers a collection of intriguing visual clues and gives audiences an early glimpse into the distinctly eccentric world being created for the film.

The poster features the Kaboom beer from the first film placed on a truck, with a giant snake appearing around it and the five friends caught in the middle. A turtle can be seen beneath the truck, while a treasure chest filled with gold and a factory appear elsewhere in the frame. The combination is deliberately unexpected and brings to mind the legendary Samudra Manthan, where Devas and Asuras churned the ocean in their quest for Amrita. Whether that visual reference has any deeper connection to the film is something the makers have left open for now.

Behind these striking visuals is a new story that once again places friendship at its centre. ‘Husharu 2’ follows five ambitious friends who, after losing everything during COVID, look for an opportunity to rebuild their lives. Their search takes them to Chittragunj, where they embark on an unusual venture involving an agave-based tequila distillery. The film’s larger story remains under wraps, with the makers revealing just enough to establish the premise.

Sree Harsha Konuganti, who wrote and directed the original, returns as writer-director. The cast includes Rahul Ramakrishna, Ashok Galla, Ravi Anthony, Dinesh Tej, Sasidhar Kocharlakota, Vidhi Yadhav, Abhignya Vuthuluru, Bhagwan Tiwari, Jatin Goswami and Rajai Rowan.

Produced by Rahul Varma, K. Veena Rani and K. Hanumant Raju, with Komatireddy Sharan Reddy as co-producer, the film comes from Caveman Stories, HK Films and Kaliyuga Vaaradha Creations. With major shooting schedules wrapped, the team is currently working on post-production, while a year-end theatrical release is being planned. The teaser, first look and more promotional material are expected to reveal further glimpses of this intriguing new chapter.
