Comrade Kalyan Trailer: Sree Vishnu’s Show!

King Of Entertainment Sree Vishnu is all set to enthrall in another distinctive entertainer Comrade Kalyan. The period entertainer, directed by Janakiram Marella, combines romance, humour and emotion with a revolutionary backdrop and is scheduled to hit theatres on October 9th. Interim, the film’s trailer has been dropped.

Kalyan appears to be an ordinary young man running a local theatre in 1992. His personal world revolves around his mother, and his growing affection for an Odia girl. He is eventually revealed to be a wanted Naxalite. Kalyan and his associates take the extreme step of kidnapping a powerful politician in an attempt to free their comrades from prison. This revelation adds stakes to what initially appears to be a simple rural entertainer.

Director Janakiram Marella seems to be playing with contrasts throughout the narrative. The setting is rooted in a tense period of political conflict, but the protagonist himself is presented through a highly entertaining lens. The opening stretches of the trailer are dominated by romance and comedy, while the latter part introduces the police chase and revolutionary conflict.

Sree Vishnu proves once again why he is regarded as one of the most dependable actors when it comes to offbeat comedy. He does not rely on exaggerated expressions or forced humour. Instead, his dialogue delivery, mannerisms and effortless reactions generate most of the laughs.

Mahima Nambiar looks convincing as Sree Vishnu’s ladylove. Radhika Sarathkumar looks entertaining as the hero’s mother, particularly with her passionate admiration for Balakrishna. Satya and Sudarshan offer limitless entertainment.

Sai Sriram’s camera work showcases the rural beauty of the Andhra-Odisha border. Vijay Bulganin’s score supports both the lighter sequences and the more intense portions involving the Naxalite conflict.

Presented by Kona Venkat and produced by Venkata Krishna Karnati and Seetha Karnati under Skanda Vahana Motion Pictures LLP, Comrade Kalyan  makes a lasting impact with the trailer that promises unlimited laughs, alongside a revolutionary backdrop.
