Suhas, who scored a blockbuster with Mandaadi, is coming up with an interesting new project.
Directed by debutant Rajendra Bala, the film marks the Telugu debut of Stone Bench Studio, the production house led by Karthikeyan Santhanam.
The banner is entering Telugu cinema with a lineup of four films, and this project marks the beginning of that journey.
The film is being produced in association with Vartika Jain of Misrilall Pictures, with Sanjana Krishnamoorthy of Lubber Pandhu and DC fame playing the female lead.
Titled Hide & Silk, the makers have unveiled the title glimpse, introducing the film through a distinctive blend of artistry, emotions and destiny.
Suhas is seen weaving a saree on a traditional loom, while the voice of Tanikella Bharani adds poetic touch.
His narration revolves around the beautiful thought that every saree has a woman destined to wear it. The fabric is not merely created by a weaver; in a poetic twist, it appears to choose the woman who belongs to it.
This unusual perspective gives the glimpse a soulful quality, making the relationship between a saree and its wearer the central attraction.
Suhas looks apt in the role and Sanjana Krishnamoorthy’s screen presence further enhance the visual appeal.
The film boasts a promising technical team, with Amrit Ramnath composing the music and Karthik Palani handling cinematography.
With an evocative title and an unconventional concept, Hide & Silk offers an appealing introduction to Rajendra Bala’s directorial debut and marks an important step for Stone Bench Studio in Telugu cinema.
