Mass Ka Das Vishwak Sen is bringing his new film, Cult, to screens on October 30. Not just acting, Vishwaksen is also directing the film. Crazy expectations are building for the film based on the content released so far. Now, the makers have unveiled the full-fledged trailer, positioning the film as one of Indian cinema’s unapologetic R-rated spectacles.
While the earlier teaser only hinted at the premise, the trailer lays out the core conflict. The film centers on a deadly game, a sprawling narcotics web, and Vishwak’s intricate ties to the dark underworld. As a cop, Vishwaksen looks sharp and delivers a commanding, aggressive screen presence. The high-octane action sequences have been designed on a heavy, relentless scale.
For fans of raw, visceral violence, the trailer promises a visual feast. Vishwaksen appears ready to unleash mayhem on the silver screen. Nowadays, audiences complain about too much violence or gore in Tollywood films, regardless of genre. While they are familiar with those scenes in international films and series, they can’t accept them on the big screen. However, the latest film is a big bet by Vishwak on Gen Z with extreme bloodshed.
Ravi Basrur is composing the score, and Sandeep Kakarla is producing the film. The film will release on October 30. We have to see whether the excessive violence draws crowds to theatres or creates a barrier.
