Rajinikanth has once again proved why he is called a box-office monster. With Jailer 2 heading towards the ₹500 crore mark, the superstar is adding another major achievement to his remarkable career.
Very few actors can maintain this kind of box-office power across generations. Interestingly, Rajinikanth has achieved this feat even when some of his films received mixed or negative responses.
2.0 and Jailer emerged as major commercial successes, while Coolie reached the ₹500 crore mark despite facing criticism and mixed word of mouth. Now, Jailer 2 is expected to join this prestigious 500 crore club.
What makes this achievement special is Rajinikanth’s age. Not every star has managed to deliver four films crossing the ₹500 crore gross mark. At a stage when many actors slow down, Rajini continues to bring crowds to theatres with his screen presence and iconic mannerisms.
Rajinikanth’s ability to generate massive openings at the age of 70-plus and keep his films in the spotlight proves that he is a true box office monster.

He observed that the Hindi film industry, too, is looking to build a stronger connection with audiences across South India. According to him, the way forward lies in collaboration, mutual respect and an exchangeof affection between different film industries. Yash reserved his strongest words for producer Namit Malhotra, whose determination to realise Ramayana on an unprecedented scale convinced him to become part of the project. Yash admired director Nitesh Tiwari's organised approach and ability to treat everyone on set equally. Hedescribed the contrast between the simplicity and divinity of Lord Rama's portions and the dark nature of Ravana as an important aspect of the film. He called Sai Pallavi's portrayal of Sita Mata special for its grace, devotion and motherly warmth. PraisingRanbir Kapoor, Yash said that playing Lord Rama was a tremendous responsibility because audiences already have a deeply established image of the character. “Ranbir has done a fantastic job, and I hope everyone gives him the…
