Rockstar Devi Sri Prasad is set to make his acting debut as the lead with Yellamma, directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Venu Yeldandi. Presented by Dil Raju and produced by Shirish under the Sri Venkateswara Creations banner, the film focuses on emotions, rural life, and cultural values, offering a distinctive setting for DSP’s acting debut.
On the auspicious occasion of Dussehra, the makers announced the film’s release date, locking March 5, 2027, as its theatrical arrival. The film’s first-look poster, which introduced DSP as Parshi, received an encouraging response from audiences. The poster showcased him in a simple and natural look.
Apart from playing the lead role, Devi Sri Prasad is also composing the music for the film, bringing his talents as an actor and music director together in a single project. Venu Yeldandi’s ability to tell stories rooted in local culture and human relationships is expected to be a key strength of Yellamma.
The film is set for a pan-India release.
