The Paradise OTT Release: Nani & Odela Must Take Notes

The Paradise is facing fresh criticism after its OTT release. Despite several flaws, the Nani starrer managed to survive theatrical criticism to some extent, thanks to its big-screen experience and Anirudh Ravichander’s music. However, the OTT release has brought the film under the scanner.

The action drama is currently trending at No. 1 on Netflix, but the online trolling has not stopped. Even Nani’s fans are finding it difficult to defend the film, with several aspects becoming targets of criticism.

The action sequences, Nani’s characterisation, and the overdose of emotions are being widely discussed. Director Srikanth Odela is also facing backlash for reportedly wasting a talented actor like Mohan Babu, whose role could have been handled much better.

The second half, in particular, has become a major talking point among viewers, with many questioning the writing and execution. While the film had its share of supporters during its theatrical run, the OTT audience appears to be heavily trolling the film and has exposed several issues

This response should serve as a lesson for both Nani and Srikanth Odela. Audiences may appreciate scale and technical brilliance, but they also expect strong writing and convincing characterisation when such big names are involved.

Srikanth Odela has given a lot of justification about various scenes in the film, but the OTT audience has pointed out even more issues ever since the film landed on Netflix. He is the one in radar and one needs to see if he learns from his mistakes.
