Kajal Agarwal Gained Nothing From Ramayana?

Casting a popular actress in a big-budget film without giving her a meaningful role is a waste of talent. The days when audiences accepted actresses in small, unnecessary roles or only for songs are slowly coming to an end. Now the same male stars, female stars also have strong fan bases. Many movie lovers watch films not just for the heroes but also for their favourite heroines. So directors must give actresses roles that match their popularity. But this is missing when it comes to Kajal in recent times.

Kajal Agarwal is one of the popular actresses who ruled Telugu cinema for many years. At the peak of her career, she took a break from films after getting married. She later became a mother and slowly returned to acting. However, her second innings has not given her the kind of roles that fans expected.

After her comeback, Satyabhama was one of the few films that gave Kajal an important role. Unfortunately, the film failed to achieve the expected success. In several big-star films, she appeared in small roles that hardly made an impact.

The makers removed her character from Acharya. She had very little importance in Balakrishna’s Bhagavanth Kesari. Even in Indian 2, Kajal appeared only in a few scenes towards the end.

Fans hoped Ramayana would finally give her a strong character. The film features popular actors like Ranbir Kapoor, Yash and Sai Pallavi. Reports about Kajal playing Mandodari, Ravana’s wife and appearing opposite Yash created a lot of hopes among her fans. But fans now feel disappointed with her screen presence in Ramayana Part 1. Kajal appears for less than ten minutes in the film. Also her character has very little importance. In fact, it is only her character in the movie that got very little screen presence compared with others.

This has made audiences wonder why such a talented South Indian actress got such a small role in a big film like Ramayana. Fans now hope that Kajal will get more importance atleast in Ramayana Part 2. If the second part also gives her very little screen time then it would be a huge disappointment. After all, casting a popular actress like Kajal only for a brief appearance without giving her a strong character raises questions about the purpose of bringing her into such a prestigious project.
