Why Sarileru Trending Now?

Mahesh Babu and Anil Ravipudi’s Sarileru Neekevvaru had released for Sankranthi 2020 and turned out to be a hit. Notwithstanding the mixed reviews, the film did perform well at the Box Office. Now, almost a year later, the film’s hashtag is trending on Twitter. And the reason is the film’s re-release in cinemas. The film was released in Kurnool and the theatre saw a packed crowd. This has raised the spirits of Mahesh’s fans.

Elated with the terrific response from crowds, fans started trending the hashtag #SarileruNeekevvaru. The film saw the comeback of Vijay Shanthi who did a powerful role alongside Mahesh. The action entertainer with patriotic backdrop saw the pairing up of Rashmika Mandanna with Mahesh Babu.

Sarileru Neekevvaru has Kurnool as a major backdrop. The makers had erected the set of Kondareddy Buruju circle in the film and shot the crucial portions including a high-voltage action episode. All these made Mahesh fans in Kurnool connect to the film. In fact, Mahesh has Kurnool connection way back in Gunasekhar’s Okkadu. This is why the re-release of the film draw audiences to theatres despite fear of Covid-19 pandemic.
