We are already aware that Thalapathy Vijay’s Master is releasing on January 13. Everyone thought that this time, it will be a solo release for Pongal. However, Simbu shocked everyone by announcing that his film Eeswaran will release on January 14. This made Vijay’s fans angry and they started trolling Simbu on social media. To avoid such negativity, Simbu now issued a statement saying that his film is not a competition to Master.
In his press note, Simbu stated that Eeswaran is a perfect family entertainer for this Pongal season. He further added that he is not competing with Vijay. Simbu said that Vijay is like his elder brother. Master is releasing after a delay of almost a year and Simbu said that it is a great step by the makers to wait for the theatrical release all this while.
The Manmadha star asked fans to watch Master and also Eeswaran. He opined that if both films do well, it will be a very good sign for the film industry which is currently under a huge financial crisis. Meanwhile, the Government of Tamil Nadu allowed the theatres to open in full occupancy earlier today and it will be a huge advantage for both these films.
