Lyric writer Vennelakanti has passed away following a cardiac arrest this afternoon in Chennai. Vennalakanti’s original name is Vennelakanti Rajeswara Prasad but his surname became popular on the silver screen. He was 63-year-old.
Vennalakanti was an SBI bank employee but he was fond of films and literature. Accordingly he stepped into films in 1986 and two years later i.e in 1988 he received his first big break with the film ‘Murali Krishnudu.’
Vennelakanti worked for blockbusters such as ‘Aditya 369’ ‘Gharana Bullodu’ ‘Samarasimha Reddy’ and others. His last film was Keerthy Suresh was ‘Penguin.’
But Vennelakanti was an expert in dubbing films. He was the first choice for all popular Tamil heroes films that get dubbed in Telugu.
He was blessed with two kids and both are into the film industry as well. Shashank Vennelakanti and Rakendu Mouli who are also into lyrics and dialogue writing.
