Suriya’s Soorarai Pottru Goes To Oscars

Tamil super hit film Soorarai Pottru has entered the Oscars race. The film has been nominated for multiple awards under General Category. The film is in the race for Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Director, Best Original Score. Soorarai Pottru has now been made available in the Academy screening room. The film unit is extremely happy to announce the news to the fans.

Co-producer of the movie, Rajsekar Karpoorasundarapandian confirmed the same in his latest Twitter post.

Soorarai Pottru was supposed to hit the screens but the film later released on Amazon Prime Video. It is interesting to see a big commercial film like Soorarai Pottru entering the Oscars race. As of now, it is too early to predict the chances of the film making it big but we wish that this Suriya’s film make every one of us proud.

Aparna Balamurali played the leading lady in the film. Sudha Kongara is the film’s director.
