Most of the actors these days are planning their debut with a grounded character in a concrete storyline. Powerful family background and a mammoth production house turn an additional strength. But a movie that started as a small scale film transforming into a highly anticipated film, is a rare event to watch. This happened to Vaishnav Tej Panja.

Panja Vaishnav Tej from the Mega family managed to get a decent launch with Uppena from ‘Sukumar Writings’ and Mythri Movie makers producing it. It was started as a medium-range movie with the debut actors, but many factors between the completion of the movie and the release date upscaled the movie many times bigger.

Starting with the fresh breezy looks in the ocean backdrop, Uppena garnered huge attention from all sides when the song ‘Nee kannu neeli Samudram’ came out. It soon turned out to become one of the most-watched and listened to songs with millions of views. There is no looking back since then.

Ram Charan tweeted all praises about the teaser. Making it bigger, Mahesh Babu launched the song ‘Ranguladdukunna’. Vijay Deverakonda launched the song ‘Jala Jala Jalapaatham’. Now NTR is coming to launch the trailer tomorrow. Rumor had it that Uppena makers refused some very tempting offers from OTT platforms and other distributors for theatrical release. Uppena has slowly picked a big pre-release buzz and the producers are confident on the movie collections.

Uppena is not just a wave anymore, but a tsunami. Adding all its strength and rage, it turned into a mighty sea swell that is racing ahead to hit the shore. The trailer is coming out on Thursday at 4:05 PM and is all set for release on February 12th. Kirthi Shetty is playing the female lead and Vijay Sethupathi is the baddie. Buchi Babu Sana is directing the movie.
