Uppena has been making a lot of noise ever since it’s launched. The film that marks the debut of mega hero Vaisshnav Tej is positioned as a tender youthful love story. However, the trailer promises much more than a romantic drama.
The trailer begins with love brewing between Aasi (Vaisshnav) and Sangeetha aka Bebamma (Krithi Shetty). Sethupathi is Rayanam, father of Sangeetha. Aasi and Devamma’s love doesn’t go down well with Rayanam. Uppena is all about how the pair fights against all the odds. Will Aasi and Sangeetha’s love get a happy ending? Or not?
Trailer promises that the film has myriad emotions. It’s Vijay Sethupathi who dominated the show. Sethupathi’s intense and powerful portrayal as Rayanam turns this adolescent love drama makes it larger and appealing. The trailer is on spot. The makers stay honest to genre and story they have opted for. Lead pair Vaisshnav and Krithi Shetty’s camaraderie and chemistry seems to have worked well.
Director Buchi Babu Sana, the protege of Sukumar, did create the magic living up to the hype and expectations surrounding the film. Devi Sri Prasad’s music compliments the stunning visuals. The trailer boasts rich visuals and great camera shots. Cinematographer Shamdat deserves a pat on his back. Kudos to guts of producers who lavishly spent on newcomers notwithstanding the market. On the whole Uppena trailer seems to be a perfect debut for Vaisshnav, Krithi and Buchi Babu. Uppena is going to hit the screens on 12th Feb, 2021.
