Zombie Reddy might have garnered mixed reviews but the film made on a shoe-string budget did turn out to be a profitable venture to its makers. Directed by Prashanth Varma of Awe fame, the film has Teja Sajja of Oh Baby fame in the lead role.
As per the latest update, the film is said to be getting a sequel and it is titled Revenge of Death. If all goes well as per the plan, Samantha Akkineni would be playing the leading lady in this sequel. Apparently, Prashanth has approached Samantha through Teja. Prashanth is said to have narrated the story to Samantha and it is buzzed that Sam has liked it and given her nod to the film. The U-Turn actress isn’t new for experiments. She is also doing a negative role in the Family Man 2 web series.
Meanwhile, Samantha is busy with the shoot of her next Tamil movie Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal under the direction of Vignesh Shivan which also has Vijay Sethupathi and lady superstar Nayantara. Very soon Samantha will join the sets of Shakuntalam which will be directed by Gunasekhar of Rudhramadevi fame.
