To clear all the doubts around Nagarjuna starrer action thriller Wild Dog, the film’s core team addressed media today. Producer Niranjan Reddy informed that they had to cheat on few locations due to corona. “We planned to shoot some scenes in foreign countries. But, due to restrictions, we had to shoot them here,” said he.
Director Ashishor Solomon said, “The first name that comes to mind to every director when they want to try something new is Nagarjuna sir. Time again and again he has proved that, he is always there to encourage new directors and stories. Due to covid, we had to recce again for locations. We are really happy that the film has come out well.”
Nagarjuna said that they got good offer for direct OTT release and due to uncertain conditions they had to ink a deal with an OTT platform. “We had no idea when would things come to normalcy. However, the success of Krack and Uppena brought us new hopes. Thankfully, the OTT management agreed to our terms. Wild Dog will be releasing in theatres on April 2nd. However, the streaming rights were given to Netflix. The film of the scale with high technical values should be watched only on big screens.”
Nagarjuna turned emotional when he recalled an incident during first day of film’s shoot in lockdown. “It made me emotional when I saw contentment in the faces of daily wage workers on first day of shooting. They were jobless for many months.”
He revealed that few of the film team tested corona positive, but all of them recovered in quick time.
