After Scam 1992, Is It Time For Scam 2003?

After the super success of Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story, the production house Applause Entertainment decided to expand the same franchise. In the process, they now announced season 2 of the scam series, Scam 2003: The Curious Case of Abdul Karim Telgi.

Telgi was a convicted counterfeiter. The series will be based on his 2003 Telgi stamp paper scam. The makers have stated that the show will be adapted from the Hindi book, ‘Reporter Ki Dairy,’ written by popular journalist Sanjay Singh. The series traces how Karim, a man from a lower middle-class family in Karnataka, went to commit fraud of the alleged worth of Rs. 20000 crores.

Kiran Yadnyopavit and Sanjay Singh will pen down the screenplay of the project. Hansal Mehta, who helmed the first part of the series, returns as the director for this season as well. The filming of the season will begin later this year and it will premiere mostly in 2022. More details about the cast and crew will be announced soon.
